  • Could you imagine if Patton had command of the Soviet Army, he would have taken Berlin by 43.

  • @BubbaLee2 Probably the same guy who accepts his congressional medal of honor for retreating from the Philippines to Australia and leaving his troops to march the Bataan death march.

  • @vomit49894 Monty was a born fighter & Leader, His campaigns during the Great War. Monty the Hound of North Africa WW2, From Alamein-Tripolli-Tunisia thousands of miles of Axis & even French Territory taken. Rommel the fox on the run & defeated.

Campains in Italy,France,Beligum,Holland,Germany, etc. Monty was superior to Patton, Just like many others.

Patton was just a show for American propaganda. Monty was superior to Patton,

  • @martynrobin121 Your opinion is that, like mine an opinion. But the truth of the matter the Germans kept there BEST army in France (the 15th) at the Pas de Calais, where they believed Patton was going to land with his (fictitious) 1st US Army Group. Hitler clung to this belief long after his Generals. And that's a FACT. Monty was good, but never a fighter in the mold of Patton.

  • @vomit49894 What is this?...."GO COMPARE" Patton was NOT superior to Monty, A well kown FACT! Also taking Caen in 1-day would have been impossible for any leader, The best Axis Forces were based near Caen, The SS and Axis troops rushed to Normady were sent to Caen, As Rommel said "Whoever controls Caen, Controls Normandy" British were in control. Monty took Caen after a bloody battle, and seems to get blamed for Market-Garden, Even know it was Eisenhower, He knew the gamble & risk.

  • @vomit49894 true... agree man.... patton was the best of the best... nothing more nothing less.......

  • THE MOST FEARED GENERAL OF TIME =) THE ONE AND ONLY GEORGE PATTON =) THE BEST OF THE BEST... GENERAL OF GENERAL.. COMMANDER OF COMMANDER ...THE WAR GOD =) GREETING FROM THE PHILIPPINE SIR PATTON =)

  • If the MOVIE is even half as true to his time as general...this guy was OUR BEST GENERAL!!! R.I.P. to the great GEORGE S. PATTON!!!....and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

  • @deathcar General S. Patton is my great great great uncal

  • @martynrobin121 I know the Soviets played the MAIN role in WWII. Anyone could tell you that. Patton was superior to Monty, by force of personality, risk-taking and his audacity. Monty was supposes to have Caen at the end of DDay....didn't happen. Also the whole debacle of Market Garden was another Monty classic. Plus Patton reduced to a subsidiary role in Sicily took Messina before ol' Monty could get there. Just the facts, sir.

  • @vomit49894 The Soviets played the main role during WW2. And the Allies had ALL the Supplies and everything the Axis could only dream about. Monty was superior to Patton, From Alamein-Tripolli-Tunisia thousands of miles the Desert Hound hunted down Rommel the desert fox. Even Zuchov could not match that! What about Wavells Blitzreig 1940? From Egypt-Bengazi(Libya) 30,000 troops 300 tans against 500,000 troops 600 tanks, And Wavell won!

  • @martynrobin121 I agree the soviets more or less won the European war. It certainly wasn't for "us" it was for "them" however. Also concur that Patton was shortchanged by SHAEF in supplies. I stand by him being a better general than Monty.
