Savage xl with LST big bore shock conversion

Have you filled the shocks with silicone oil or not?

I think it's needed for a well function and well crashing absorve it be filled with oil...

@WagnerABPrado, yes ofcourse, i put 40wt silicone oil in it, the springs are so stiff so if i put 60wt or 80wt the shocks will not play.

so how do those gpm shocks hold up with bashing? cuz i know the integy ones just bend and break.

unfortunately i didnt manage to do a proper run and bash with the car as i sold it two weeks after this conversion was done. i did manage to do a couple of jumps and speedy turns and the motion of the shocks are very smooth. i bet this shocks will be strongger than the gpms because the shaft are much thicker and the body of the shock is 2x bigger compare to the gpms. it is like putting a 1/5 scale shock to a 1/8

Do you have part numbers for all the parts you need to do that mod ,they look great and it time for up grade or rebuild on mine , I'm thinking up grade time

i have just completed this shock conversion but with the plastic lst bigbores and a fast lane machine extended chassis, havn`t run it yet but they look great mounted, great video.

@staticxmako You should get those new proline Power Stroke Shocks. They are supossed too be awsome. They are for the slash but they are the same for the Stampede

just not their shocks. i am getting their shock bodies for my stampede tho those are prob good
