From Sundae Club's 'Sea-sides' album. http://sundaeclub.bandcamp.com/album/sea-sides
"A Sundae Club classic, which evolved to become arguably the best known Sundae Club track, 'Angels In The Sky'. This is included in response to many requests for this instrumental original from YouTube watchers who have heard it as the soundtrack to Mario Cavalli's lovely short film in aid of the Care charity and the 60th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift.
This is a newly remastered version of the track in its original full-length form with the controversial 'sleighbell' percussion, and was featured on a few promotional clips on the UK breakfast TV channel GMTV in 2001/2. The 'sonar' sound is a Fender Rhodes, and the choir is of course a Mellotron. Hamstall's quirky Rhodes chords and Ray's catchy guitar tune are beautifully held in place by the Doctor's BBC Radiophonic bassline. It's all rather gorgeous.
Title inspired by Hamstall's girlfriend at the time who broke more dates than she ever made with the words "Can we take a raincheck on tonight please Darling?"
