SIERRA VISTA — The Sierra Vista Car Club is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Spring Car Show today.
Held at the Sierra Vista Diner off Highway 92, the car show will feature 100 classic and modern vehicles from the clubs 55 different families.If early registration is any indication, this years show promises to be a success.This is the first year that weve been sold out prior to the event opening, said Joe Kraps, founding president of the Sierra Vista Car Club. Dick Jensen stands next to his 1964 Cadillac combination hearse/ambulance at his home in Sierra Vista on Thursday. The vehicle, along with 99 others, will be in todays Spring Car Show at The Diner.
One of the many things that make the Spring Car Show unique is the two dozen or so awards that will be given out. Each award and accompanying plaque is hand crafted by the club members, Kraps said.
