Columbia Pictures?
Paramount?
Lionsgate?
There's a plenty ;)
I've always hated Disney. The only thing I liked about it was Narnia. I don't like that Narnia was produced by the same people that produce High School Musical and all that crap >:[ All they care about is money.
I haven't lost any of my hope, though.
Nice video and very good points.

Yah, that was a great Christmas present. I'm still trying to be hopeful. It may be a trying economic time, which I'm sure went into Disney's decision and will influence other studio's decisions, but it might actually help. Dark times are when fantasy stories do best, I think.(Wasn't LOTR just after Sept. 11th?)
Anyway, I understand all your arguments, and unfortunately they're probably true. But I still *am* trying to maintain hope.

They didn't drop it, they had a conflict with Walden media..
Now its walden media and 20 century who are doing the movie..
I don tliek it..cause this was such a disney movie..:(:(

I was thinking about Dreamworks. Andrew Adamson has connections with them with shrek, he'll be the producer for DT so that could work. They've done big budget movies like transformers, gladiator and war of the worlds. so perhaps they might sign on.

oh my gosh! this was my fav book of the series, and they're not going to do it?!?!

Thanks for your input Rilian!

Wow, this saddens me - I really wanted to see The Voyage of Dawn Treader - it one of my favorite books, besides The Silver Chair.
Do you have the old British movies? I do. :D

To tell you the truth there are no really good studios that would bother with it except fox, but even with fox I think it won't do to well considering their latest films coming out and their fight with wb over that superhero movie.

it is sad. but i cant say that i'm surprised though. prince caspian didnt follow the story of the book basically at all! i'm pretty much positive that it would have made a lot more money if it followed the book.

Love the LOTR swords in the BG. And here's to hoping that Walden can find a company to keep the Dawn Treader afloat.

I think around the time the golden compass was about to come out there just about to be takeover by the wb anyway
Crazy about the LotR connection. At that time, Miramax was a subsidiary of Disney...

True. I didn't bring that up. Maybe this will prove to be Disney's second big mistake? First they let go of Lord of the Rings, and then they let go of Narnia.

Whoops! Darn it, I didn't catch this video in time before I filmed my own vlog on this topic. Would've been nice to see your opinions before saying my own.
It's so sad...things were looking SOOO good 18 months ago, when we thought it would be realeased in May 2009, and The Silver Chair would be coming the year after that.
Do you think that there's ANY possibility that, in 10 or 20 years, the movies will be remade with a new cast and crew?

As for possibilities, there are of course possibilities. Unfortunately, Douglas won't be around then to keep them from cutting out father Christmas and changing dialogue and things like that. Sure there's a possibility, but it takes more courage to pick up a failed franchise than to remake a successful one.
