  • FIrst of all, the tempo is not his fault. This is certainly Walter, and to defend Walter, if you listen to Mozart recordings of the period the style was to take everything that fast. I've heard Kipnis do Leporello at breakneck speed under Walter's baton.

In regards to his breath, Pinza chooses to breath there. Its consistent throughout. I think it is a good artistic choice. Figaro at that point is so frustrated he is thinking faster than he can speak, hence the patter section.

  • Wonderful! The rarest combination : a stunning voice, incredible technique and great artistry/ musicality.

  • @xMoonfeatherx Bravo to you for knowing the aria.

  • whoa whoa whoa. he says "son streghe che incantano per farci affogar. sirene che cantano per farci affogar." it's supposed to be "per farci penar" for the first one.
