Jill Haworth - Cabaret (1968 Tony Awards)

This is the original Sally Bowles singing the title number from the musical Cabaret, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff. The landmark musical was a huge hit and is now considered one of the greatest musicals of all time.
Miss Hawoth's performance was part of a tribute to past Tony Award-winning musicals.

@livuali yet they went for liza when they made a movie of it... I agree with you, sally is NOT supposed to be very talanted as a singer, and liza sort of ruined that for every woman playing sally on stage ever since. its a shame. :(

@MonessenBandMan she didn't get good reviews when the show opened. i think when it was reviewed later in the run they realized that she wasn't supposed to be a great singer and got better notices.
