We seek to accomplish the above by showing an old or outdated version of bullying. This is intended to be funny. We want to play on stereotypes and preconceived ideas that highschool age youth have about bullying. The words 'you may think bullying is...' will be shown at that time. Next, our PSA shows images of Columbine, and recent news regarding teen suicides from bullying. This will cover all forms of bullying mentioned in the definition above, physical, electronic, verbal and psychological. We want to be current and bring in the concept of cyber bullying and text messages as well, not just the classic 'pushing someone in to a locker' image. By operating under the theory of reasoned action we target the root cause that some may think bullying is funny and harmles, it is actually serious and it has terrible consequences. Therefore, we can change the behaviorable intention by changing the attitude of toward the action of bullying. Ideally this PSA would show on networks aimed toward teenage youth to have the greatest impact such as VH1, MTV, and WB.
