One of Walker's best works, IMO.

This is a beautiful tradition arrangemnet. However, if you're looking for something for a youth choir or praise band, check out "New Catholic Mass Music" or "New Catholic Mass Music Gloria"

I like the Chant aspects of this setting. I'm sure some communities would like this but ours would probably think it's too "effected" or "dramticly forced performanced." It might be too distracting for our assembly.

We'll probably use this at some point. I like that it is very much modern Chant. Really, quite beautifully done. The difficulty with congregations will be the stretches where the melody stay on one note through several syllables, with no discernible meter. I like the Gloria especially, as it is reminiscent of the Missal chants, but as was noted, more interesting.

I am really glad I found this mass. Wonderful! I hope it becomes popular. I agree with it being very reverent and prayerful. I think it would be easy for the parish to learn as well.

I love this setting, To me it's very reverent and prayerful - and more interesting musically than the chants in Roman Missal. (We don't sing Gloria at funerals.)

Like this works well. The music is simple enough to learn and declaims the text . Excellent to learn with the congregation.
It has a very chant feel to it. This may be good for funerals where people don't like to sing and this has a very solemn feel. What do you think?
