My mom Luna and friend Tyson were all surrendered into the shelter a few weeks ago and it was tough. I'm only 4 months old and even though I was with my mom for a little while in the same cage, we were separated. I was so sad, but one day a nice lady came in and took me to her house. I was then picked up and I am now being fostered by Ellie and her family! I'm looking for a forever home with a family that will love me as much as I will love them!

Hello, my name is Ellie Lee and my family and I are currently fostering little Madeline. Madeline, came in as Casey into my life. I've fostered dogs in the past but this is the first time I've worked with Sit Stay Learn. I live in NJ and do most of my volunteering at a closer shelter near me, and never had a reason to go all the way to this particular shelter where Maddie was at. One day I decided to drive there to see what it was like and frankly it was horrifying. Small dogs were kept in small packed crates, big dogs were kept in small, compact kennels. I could tell most of these dogs were not walked or loved on a daily basis. I got in contact with Sit Stay Learn and was interested in fostering one of their dogs. I finally got my first foster this past weekend and renamed Casey, Madeline.

Madeline is a 3-4 month old pitbull terrier. She's medium size now and will probably grow a bit more. She came to me covered in urine, with feces stuck to her, but two baths made her coat soft and she was a brand new dog! Her nails were long and broken so we took her to our groomer to get them trimmed. When I say she's an amazing dog, I mean it with all I've got. She's so energetic, playful, and loveable and even though she's been through hardship in her short life, you see no traces of it in her behavior.

She just learned how to sit and is being potty trained. She's cuddly and loves to kiss. She loves treats and her meals and is good with other dogs. My 3 dogs are older and don't have the energy for a puppy but when she tries to play with them she's insanely adorable. She loves men, women, and children.
