I loved the castle and the gardens even though I got soaking wet (twice). Enjoyed the poison garden (regardless whether it had mushrooms or not). The home itself was wonderful and they hid little dragons everywhere so I had to have my own of course. Norbert the dragon no longer lives at the castle but has moved to Victoria, BC. Canada. He has travelled to Scotland and Italy and will be in London in May. I hope he doesn't miss his Alnwick home too much but we do take very good care of him.

There never were any.
The Alnwick Garden is owned and run by a public charity. The Duchess is one of the trustees. It is not 'her' garden though she likes to make people think it is.
Also, the Poison Garden has never had magic mushrooms nor strychnine but she keeps telling journalists that it does.
Just because she's a Duchess doesn't mean she's not as good at spin as any politician.
