Goodness gracious ! I think I am getting addicted to analogue modular synths. Here is a brief tour of my bedroom (I took the bed away from the room) and here are some of my beloved machines. A synthesizers.com System 88, the yusynth modular I designed and built (more details at http://yusynth.net), a Laboratory System Roland 700 cabinet and a mixed Club of the knobs (COTK) and MOS-LAB modular (kind Moog modular clone). The Macbeth M5 cannot be seen on this video because it was out for a show at the time of the shooting !
The audio track is an excerpt of a short improvisation I played with my yusynth modular and a Memotron.

UPDATE : now I have reorganized my flat and the synthis have moved to my living room.
You can have a look at my modular studio here :

  • YOUR HOOKED.

  • @EXGO I bet you're right, I am a modular addict !

  • what is your job profession? there is no way i would afford any of this.

  • @helms7k My job is scientific researcher but it has very low to do with since the wages are quite modest, at least this is the case in France. Just consider the fact that I am over 50 years old now and never had a car nor a child and therefore I saved a lot of money and now I can afford buying these things

  • awesome O_O, I don't dare ask where your sleep, if you really use sleep in a bedroom like that ^^

anyway I didn't know they were people to own all these truly expensive instruments. Isn't it frustrating to lose a sweet sound with all these knobs ?

  • These are no longer in my bedroom, I have reorganized things and now I have access to my bed again ;-) . The synths are now installed in my living room, you can see photos of my studio at my site.

I manage to write the nice patches on patchsheets, this way I do not loose sweet sound settings ;-)

  • wonderful, no children either but I'm only 44, so maybe another 4-5 years before I can afford these, until then I'll just have to live with my Doepfer ;)

  • @yusynthman well i really like your setup im currently stuck with a midi keyboard, fl studio and hundreds of vst's because that is much more fit for my budget lol... and cars are a money pit but i live in a small city its cheaper for me to drive to work than use public transportation.. i always wanted to visit france.
