stmpoodle: I bought an asus netbook 10.1 with 1 gb then i upgraded it to 2gb it looks exactly like yours & when i try to turn it on the main power button all i get is error & there is no windows 7 on my screen because the only way this junk will work is if i turn on the express gate & i get a web browser powered by "splashtop" this junk really sucks i bought this white netbook last month but i will save $ for something better. i'm not able to download "anything at all".

by the way love the cool attitude in this video. the sunglasses are cool i'll try to stop spamming your comments :p (just keep forgetting to say things).

maybe the hardware was too new for linux to recognize. by the way you could probably use cpu-z to identify the memory and some other hardware has worked a lot better for me in the past and you don't even have to open it up

i also heard (from a friend) about the bad new policy that asus started, the beginning of last year (not shipping install cd's). makes you wonder what on earth they are thinking. i've had my netbook (samsung N140) for about 1.5 years and i haven't had many issues. samsung seems to have nice battery life and this one feels pretty solid too (love the matte glass).
it's nice if you don't need the keyboard, i couldn't live without one though. why did you decide to change your netbook?

I'd wait for the tablets that are coming out with honeycomb they look pretty awesome or get a cheap laptop.

Thanks for posting this video! I was so close to getting another netbook. A few months ago I had an Acer Aspire One. It had a Dual Core Intel Atom 1.3GHz CPU. In addition it also had 2GB of RAM. The thing was slow as mud, even with Puppy Linux on it! I was going to buy another, but now I think I will just get a regular laptop. Apple has proven that netbooks can have stronger processors. So why are netbooks still using Intel Atom CPU's? Anyway thanks again!

@MrKamoore You are very welcome. Thank you for taking time to view my video.

I had an Acer netbook, I had it for about a week or two before bringing it back. I guess if you get so used to decently powered machines going all the way down to something like a netbook is not a fun time.
My wife wants to get a Netbook now just for something to have for her pictures on, but I told her spend the extra few dollars and get a decent, regular size laptop.

@VegasUndergroundHD Thanks Jerry! Have your wife see this video at the next opportunity. If netbooks just had the reliability factor to do basic things as you'd expect, despite low specs, then they would be a big win! But Intel Atom Processor should be steamrolled to the dirt never to see the light of day again. You know! Basic web surfing or just opening up friggin' "My Computer" icon was such a chore. Not anymore. Take care, man!
