A newer (and in some ways better) version of a piece I've played and recorded before. It is a beautiful piece and I see it a little differently from what I saw it back then.

I've fixed some of the simple mistakes - The music doesn't start right away, I don't do the abrupt pauses which people have pointed out. I've slowed the piece down a bit, tried to relax some more and tried to fix some of the technical weaknesses (with limited success). I would hope that I've improved my playing of the piece, coming back to it two and a half years later.

I would really be happy to hear your comments (music, recording, style, posture, anything related to the video). I apologize that the camera doesn't see the keys all that well.

  • Beautiful! I like this piece and the way you play Chopin.

  • @kumagaimegumi Thanks for watching!

  • Good job Anand, glad to see you've kept up with the playing. This is Vishnu, your junior at IITK. :) Is this a practice room at your university? Our practice rooms have pianos that aren't half as good as the one you're playing in this video.. so I ended up buying an upright piano (not very good either but it does the job). Keep up the good work!

  • @liszt85 Hi Vishnu, Good to see you here. This is a practice room at the university. The pianos are generally good. This was probably one of the best.

  • You play measure 13 and every repeating measure in the song wrong. That F, the low one before you jump the octave, is a tied note. It's slurred AND tied. You don't double it. You hold it.

  • @RizOMG My sheet music agrees with what you say. I've heard different versions of that and chose this particular way because I liked it. Thanks for the comment.

  • great job on the dynamics! unlike other people who play this piece who completely ignores them and just play however they feel or think they should. fine if they composed it but CHOPIN did!!! FOLLOW THE FREAKING DYNAMIC SINGS!!! there are reasons why they are there!!!

  • @doelman ... go beap your self!! If you only had a clue of what music is... you wouldn't talk

since I have been a teacher for over than 20 years and I also have played with the most known musisians in the world I know what is right and what isn't.... so shut up!!

  • @pianomasterplayer If you really are a piano master player you shouldn´t act so childish.

  • OH MY GOD.. wtf is this? first of all you go too fast especially at the second page.. it is a waltz you know and that means you have to take it a bit slower!! at the end you so beap killed it. when I play the piano, I enjoy it, and have fun with it, also at concerts because I love it.. when you finished you should not have let your hand that way over the piano.. it looked to me that you hate the piano and it is boring for you!! SO GIVE UP!! you have to respect the piano! GGIVEE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
