@HDC17 true, but then again, there always was a theme back then that the princesses were to docile twists. Take the princess and the pea. I always hated that story as a kid because I always though 'Man whiny brat. 20 matresses and still she complains'.

Yeah, Shannon Hale did a retelling. In the brothers Grimm original version, the princess is stupid. Selia tells her to pretend she is not the princess and she's like "oh, ok." In Hale's version it makes more sense and she has more spirit. They should do a movie based on her book!

That is supposed to be Selia. The princess is supposed to be blonde and they arent that ugly and old. I doubt this has even 1 thing to do with the book. Hey do any of you know how to change a username?
