Chapter 1 Preview - Video on Demand

We have begun to stream various Video on Demand lessons with Michael Ellis. These lessons are the opening lectures for the various courses Michael teaches at his school for dog trainers in California.

These lectures lay out the training theory along with the step by step training methods for the courses that Michael is teaching.

For a number of reasons these lectures will never be offered on DVD, they will only be offered as Video on Demand.

This video is just a few minutes of the opening lecture for Michael's class on THE PROPER USE OF THE ELECTRIC COLLAR.

Remote collars are one of the most effective dog training tools ever invented. To take advantage of the power behind remote collars, trainers need to understand the tool. They need to understand how to condition their dogs to an electric collar and how & when to layer a remote collar into their obedience training. Michael's lecture cover these points in detail.

No one is going to learn this in 30 to 60 minutes, it's simply not going to happen. That's why we have put together almost 4 ½ hours of theory by Michael. These multi-chapter lectures are part of Michael's two day class on electric collars.

  • thats like me I introduced mine wrong to my rottie then I totally stopped using the collar for a long time then slowly reintroduced it and just use it simply on the vibrate to get her to come in distractions and to stop bad behaviors when she is outside like chewing on stuff and it really works good she is no longer scared of it. but I am unsure of how to get into other behaviors and I am getting a GSD pup for schutzhund and want to learn how to properly use the collar as a later tool.

  • Thanks! I watched the entire seminar 3 times so far and still I learn something new. Go figure.
