I read the original script and it was perfect. However, it was Scott's and Fox's fault. Because when the original script was done and ready to shoot, Lindelof was engaged by Scott himself to rewrite. Heck, this worst screen writer of all time destroy every movie he is in!

90% of everything wrong with this movie wasn't part of the original script. Screw Damon Lindelof.

Weyland was not on the ship.Vickers is not his daughter.The point of the expedition is to find terroforming tech. The hill billy is not in charge of maps.The scientist gets scared of the holograms running through him not the ancient corpse. Holloway is not super disappointed after one day. David's motivations make sense.Shaw does not get pregnant.Everyone doesn't take off their helmets. etc
