Spunky grandmother Georgiana Doerschuck, who ran as a Republican in the 1996 New Hampshire Primary, was basically a nonviolent female version of the Unabomber.

Her platform called for banning all computers and fax machines, making the United States a "computer-free nation."

The Computer Age, she says, "smacks of tyranny, slavery and serfdom."

This clip is an excerpt from the 1996 documentary, "Why Can't I Be President?" which was produced for WGBH, WNET and other PBS stations.

That familiar narrator's voice you hear is none other than CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

  • Try dealing with this lady on a daily basis.

I know first hand what a nut she is.

  • Cuckoo.

  • You for posting -on the internet- that being -on the internet- makes you a loser.

  • As the swimming attests, people who stay away from computers are typically in better physical shape. Who's the real loser: this technophobe or those of us wasting our time on the Web?
