東西方交滙
East meets West

當我少年時, 就開始煩惱,

When I was young, I was so frustrated,

隱隱覺得有些事情不妥,

I feel that somethings were wrong,

但卻沒有人告訴我答案,

but no one give me the reason and answer,

直至某年看到報紙,

Until I read the article in newspaper,

才知道不合理的事情,

I got the reason,

原來是出於東西方思想的差異,

The frustrations began with the difference in Eastern and Western thinking,

東西方的思想,

The thinking of East and West,

最大的分別:

The greast difference is:

西方人認為 [A] 不可能是 [非A],

The Westerners recognise that [A] is impossible to be [not A],

[橙]不可能是非[橙],

[Orange] is impossible to be [not orange],

[蘋果]不可能是非[蘋果],

[Apple] is impossible to be [not apple],

[是]不可能是[非],

[Yes] is impossible to be [no],

[鹿]不可能是[馬];

[Deer] is impossible to be [horse];

而東方人應為 [A] 可以是非 [A],

But the Easterners recognise that [A] is possible to be [not A],

橙可以不是[橙],

[Orange] is possible to be [not orange],

[蘋果]可以不是[蘋果],

[Apple] is possible to be [not apple],

是可以是[非],

[Yes] is possible to be [no],

[鹿]可以是[馬], [指鹿為馬], [習非成是], [習是成非], [色即是空], [空即是色],

[Deer] is possible to be [horse]. [Deer] is recognised as [Horse], [yes] is [no], [no] is [yes], [The scene] is [empty], [The emptiness] is [the scene],

[一元即二元], [二元即一元], [一即零], [零即一];

[Monolism] is [Dualism], [dualism] is [monolism], [1] is [0], [0] is [1];

天經地義的公理, [一即是一], 邏輯的思維, 排中律的應用,

The Sensible and Logical Law,

卻可以被東方人完全歪曲。

Is twisted by the Easterners.

[A]是[A],

A is A,

[A]不是[非A],

[A] is not [non-A],

[A]不可能同時是[A]又是[非A],

[A] is impossible both for [A] being [A] and being [non-A],

[A]也不可能同時不是[A]又不是[非A]。

It is impossible both for [A] being [non-A] and not being [non-A].

東方的哲學, 包括中國和印度,

The Eastern philosophies, including Chinese and Indian,

是沒有這種[一即是一], [邏輯思維] 和 [排中律]的應用,

Without thsoe logical and sensible thinkings,

表面上是語言遊戲, 但在實質思維上可以產生非常大的差別。

In the games of languages, It make a very great difference in thinking.

般若心經的 [色不異空, 空不異色],

For the words of Buddah: " The scene is empty, and the emptiness is the scene",

莊子的 [一亦一, 非一亦為一], [莊周夢蝶], [蝶夢莊周],

Chong Tsz: " one is one, non-one is also one.", " Chong Tsz dreamed to be the butterfly", " The butterfly dreamed to be Chong Tsz",

就是這一種思想;

Those were the kind of malicious thinkings;

東方與西方的两種思想,

The difference of thinkings between East and west,

使東方與西方走上不同的思道,

Make the different ways of East and West,

使東方文化過於寬容,

Let the Eastern Thinking become too much tolerable,

使西方文化走上科學化之路,

Let the Western Culture become scientific,
