@luci4777 Remember, only younglings, instructors and a few Jedi Knights were at the Temple. They had been so spread thin by the war, none suspected an attack on the Temple by their own troops.

Seeing the Jedi destroyed over the course of like one day by their own troopers, something the CIS had been unable to do over the entire Clone Wars is incomprehensable. A titanic conict which tore the Galaxy apart was Palpatines MASTER plan from the begining, he played both sides all along in order to exterminate the Jedi.
