What picture (prediction)? Of doom and Gloom? That we will never build another home? Never create another job!? We will never build another nuclear power plant? We will never innovate again? I can connect the dotes (predict) too my outcome is much better!

@IRopi2, i think you're really misinterpreting this conversation. i'm very familiar with chris and his work and i don't get that at all. i'd invite you to watch and listen to some of his other stuff, like the crash course, etc. then come back and listen to this again. i hope that helps. peace

I'm sorry, I'm a huge believer in the impact of Peak Oil on the world, but she just sounds like a religious nut - even though she says she isn't talking about religion. There's no solution in that for a rational mind and it is not what the world needs now. Or has ever needed. "Thank you sun"??? It's all in your head woman! Concentrate on the real world!

@IRopi2 CM's predominant message (and he even expresses it in this very video!) is that change does not have to be hard or scary, that it can actually lead to a better overall quality of life.

Actually, the 70's 80's and 90's had some VERY important things in common that may not be the case in the near future, namely and ever-increasing global supply of oil, and no baby-boomer generation retiring all at once.

Chris says at 15:00 "very few people can face or assimilate the dots in to a coherent picture of change" ! This implies you can't predict the future. Duh! no one can! But Chris and Caroline can predict the future by "connecting the dots" and they want to "Help you"! Wink! Wink! Caroline says "America is immature". We are not like other nations that are mature. They go on to say "the wealthy are smart the rest are stupid!"

"There is zero chance to get back to Normal!" What is Normal? The 70's were not like the 80's just like they were not like the 90's. Was the 70's normal? Or maybe it was the 90's that were normal? It is funny how they try to scare you with "change!" The great unknown which most people fear! Change is the only constant in our lives and that is "Normal". Typical scam artists doing their thing ! I hope many of you are picking up on this.

This Pod cast Assumes 1. A collapse has already started and pretends as if its real and will only get worse. 2. It assumes we are all emotionally disturbed depressed and shallow, socially inapt! If you resist accepting their fairy tale of a collapse then you really have some serious problems that only Chris and caroline can help you with. If you don't see the warning signs as (they are putting in your head via suggestion), you will become an Alcoholic and kill yourself! I am Speechless!
