This is one of T.H. Culhane's melodic-mnemonics about physics (the chapter on sound and light and waveforms) with the refrain "Sound and Light are waves". It explains the difference between sound and light set to a screaming rock and roll background. It follows the simplest of melodic-mnemonics methods -- the students get the song and are then asked to illustrate it using images from the web in a powerpoint presentation. If they use the appropriate images it is assumed they are learning; the process of choosing images and typing the text and listening to the song over and over while making the powerpoint video substitutes for "rote learning". We call it "productive repetition."
