@Dicksaiter Thank you. I never knew about those copies and it is interesting to know about Ibanez/Japanese copies of guitars made during the "lawsuit" era when they looked exactly the same.

@bmiranda2645 Thats a Bass in the form of A Gibson Ripper/Grabber Labeled as Maya. Looks like here in the video. Maya as far i know a budget line of Ibanez. All I know is they produced guitars and basses in Japan from the mid-'70s to the mid-'80s. They also had a cheaper line called El Maya that made Fender clones.

@Dicksaiter what's a Maya Ripper? I could not find any more information about that brand on the internet. I heard of Crestline Grabber bass copies and Epiphone Ripper ones too.

@bmiranda2645 Has a Maya Ripper too. As Far I remeber Maya is a budget-line of late 70's Ibanet

@sunnyjim98 Indeed ;) Recently I have bought another old Aria Pro II bass, a Precise Bass '77, ash body, maple neck, Matsumoku written on the back plate :P I'll try to post something recorded with it, after it gets a good setup.

Hello there. That is a really nice bass. I did not know any company other than Gibson or Epiphone made a bass like that!
I have a black 2009 Gibson Grabber. It looks like the Aria Pro bass with maple neck and rosewood fretboard, but mine has a maple body and is very heavy.
Your Aria sounds very much like a 1970's Gibson the Ripper.

Thanks very much for information. And your Grabber sounds very nice ;) I should play someday more basses like these...

Aria made good instruments in Japan.
Your tube pream sounds good also, and good cover.
Cheers.

Thanks !
Indeed, good old instruments made by Aria, I just found this rare one in a SH store for 250 euro ;) Linden body (a kind of basswood), maple neck, rosewood fretboard. I still wonder if it really sounds like a Gibson Ripper or not (the Ripper was made of mapple or ebony) :P
