Feeding Shirley

We met a unique squirrel in the Spring of 2008 that was not too afraid of people and loves sunflower seeds. She hangs out on our deck railing peering into our window when she gets hungry and waits for us to come out and feed her. If our garage door is open, she just helps herself to the 15lb bag of seeds as well. This is a video of our youngest daughter getting her chance to feed "Shirley" (she/squirrel, hence Shirley). She also lays flat on her belly like a pancake unlike any other squirrel we've ever seen. Of all the squirrels in our yard, Shirley is obviously our favorite. Check out how both "girls" smile for the camera near the end of the video.
