The European Union is a disaster and the UK should quit, says Gerard Batten, a European Parliament Member. RT met him in London.

  • RT should start talk about milions of problems in Russia for a change.

  • Guys, by 2050 Brazil, India and other South American and Eastern countries will have bigger GDP's than the UK, France, Germany etc. We need to unite Europe in order to maintain ourselves ahead of the rest.

  • As an Englishman I see the European Union as an anti democratic, corrupt and criminal led organisation that the UK should leave immediately. The Tories that took us into the EEC in 1973 then the EU in 1992 should hang their heads in shame as they are nothing more than traitors.

  • You had the world buying derivatives from hedge funds all over the world, that knew damn well they were full of bad loans in the trillions. the largest banks in the world were selling off the loans by the truck loads to who ever was dumb enough to buy them. hoping to collapse them and then take over there counties resources. thats been the idea for 15 years with what they call a "Managed Global Economy" if Greece defaults you watch the world monetary system fail!

  • @LookBetterNaked You see it's people like you who the gangsters of the EU love. Brainwashed, naive & unable to think outside the box. You honestly believe the Euro has no effect on the UK economy ? No doubt you believe the concept is not driven by the ultimate goals of a cartel of senior bankers pushing for control by crating their a European Marxist superstate as well ? An unelected President controlling what will eventually become an even larger superstate means good bye to any freedom left !

  • RT is right the EU has been a total disaster & for the UK. Since the Treaty of Lisbon we find ourselves in a situation where 90% of our laws come from the EU. Our sovereign status has all but been eroded & once the EU laws which are already written are enforced we will no longer have a country to call our own. England for instance will be split into zones, 1 for each current English MEP & each zone will report direct to Brussels not Westminster. Not much space here but Google Lawfull Rebellion.

  • Excuse me if I don't succumb to your crude infantile language. Possibly this will be above your head, but the ECB has everything to do with a reduction of UK livings standards. It is their ECB "mastered" by the EU who obviously new all along what was happening in the PIIGS. As a result our largest trading partner is bankrupt costing the UK a dramatic downturn in exports, plus the UK helping to fund a the Irish bailout costing the UK tax payer £4 Billion just to support the Euro from collapsing.

  • @ALBIONTYKE Since when the ECB has anything to do with the UK??? Moron.

  • @LookBetterNaked The ECB is no more than a puppet for the IMF to orchestrate ever more power over once sovereign states. This straight jacket you talk of has already cost our nation a reduction in our living standards due to having to bail out other countries in the hope of preventing contagion, despite the fact that we are £1.1 Trillion in debt ourselves. The ECB has ignored countries borrowing unaffordable amounts with the subversive purpose of bankrupting countries to gain yet more governance

  • @motorolarules Devaluation through inflation is the worst enemy of the people. It robs them from their purchasing power and leaves everybody poor. That's why the euro is good -- it's a straight jacket for gov'ts such as the Greek to get their act together and introduce reforms. So yes, the euro IS the only way forward for Europe.
