@TheRealWWWringer Fabulous!!!! I love the Lanc :-)))

I visited the Hamilton museum 2 years ago, and was blessed to talk to a surviving pilot that flew Lancs in Europe. I could have sat at his feet the whole day listening to his stories. It's my hope in a year or two to be able to afford the two grand for a flight on this beauty.
I once corrected the webmaster of the Lincolnshire Museum of the omission he had posted when they were advertising the world's only flying Lanc some years back. He promptly added the Minarski Lanc to their site.

@h4ydn2008 The 'Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada.

The CWH has an approved procedure for doing fly pasts at the airport where the museum is located.

@sjeffe32
It is a beautiful sounding aircraft - especially in its current role as the Mynarski Memorial Lancaster.

Thanks. The Canadian Warplane Museum in Hamilton, Ontario flies the Lancaster just about every weekend and sometimes during the week as well from May until November 11th. In this video the Lancaster is doing the `Museum Arrival' a TC approved procedure. There is an excellent viewing area at the top of the museum for aircraft in the Museum's collection flying the arrival. Check out their Facebook page and their own webpage.

My dad was an airframe mechanic on Lancs in the RCAF during the war, and I was personally involved with the restoration of this aircraft. Sadly, my dad died several years before she flew again.

I was fortunate enough to see the CWH Lancaster fly at an airshow with my Dad. He was quite enthusiastic DESPITE his war time experiences. Years later, in Florida, we went to an airport where a B-17 and B-24 had flown in (along with at P51 and Bf-109). We paid the $10 and got to go through the 2 WWII bombers. It is one of the best memories I have of spending time with him. Thanks for your work on restoring the Lancaster to flying status!
