Woodrow Parfrey was one of the all-time great character actors, and I believe this is the only time his name was spoken in the credits of a television show. (It may even be the only time his name was ever "heard" through the airwaves.) During the 1960s and 70s, the TV series produced by Quinn Martin (such as "The Fugitive," "The Streets of San Francisco," "Cannon," "12 O'Clock High," and "Barnaby Jones") all featured spoken guest-star credits over each episode's opening titles. That particular distinction was always reserved for established "name" actors, promising up-and-comers, and the most elite "A-List" day players. Even actors who likely would have been "guest stars" on any other program were relegated to the closing credits on a Quinn Martin show...as Parfrey was before (and after) that night in 1971, when anyone watching "The F.B.I" finally got to hear his name. • I totally agree with rayssonation.....This show needs to be released on DVD!!

All the studios release is current tv crap and reality tv. This show was awesome and since American Life Network isn't showing it anymore, You can't watch it ...AT ALL!

  • It is a crying shame that this astounding series is not out on DVD!!!! Warner Home Video should be ashamed of themselves!

One of the greatest cop shows of the mid-1960's and the early 1970's,"The FBI" remains one of the most successful ever produced by Quinn Martin.

  • Love Woodrow Parfrey--as an actor he was as distinctive as his name. Loved him in the Eastwood movies of course, but also in hilariously quirky guest appearances on shows like "WKRP In Cinncinnati" and countless others. Is there any actor working today with something of his unique sensibility?? The only name that comes to mind is Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper on "The Big Bang Theory").

  • @rayssonation Season 1 is out on DVD, but in two parts sold separately.

  • @CDeanWatcher : Personally, I think there's more of a resemblance between Skerritt and Marlowe!
