i had the privelege of seeing Rooster Booster run live on a number of occasions. He epitomised everything that is great about our sport. He was wonderful to watch hurdling, beautiful balance and didn't know when he was beaten. I see nothing in the present day hurdling division that can hold a light to him. Sadly missed. A true champion and sadly never fully appreciated in his lifetime

@KeithLawlor2007I watched in absolute disbelief and fury as id backed him ante post at 7/1 and could'nt believe he could win half way round as he was so far back. The champion hurdle is always the race i look forward to most and as impressive as hurricane fly, binocular won it i think rooster booster on this day would have beaten any winner since people must also remember he carried welter burdens in big races often which probably shortened his time at the top.sum1 needs put his win on here

without doubt my favourite racehorse ever. makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up watching that. brilliant tribute

Never forget the way he cruised round the final bend as if having a chat with the beaten horses - it was the final leg of a nice treble for me so I was watching him like a hawk! Unforgettable!

truly brilliant horse and blowed them away on one of the biggest races of the year. rip rooster, you were 1 of the best.

Bearing in mind RBs age in my opinion that was the most impressive champion hurdle victory of the modern era,,thanks for posting a fine tribute to a most special national hunt athelete !

i think jet propelled was the term used to describe his jump at the last in the 2003 champion.

It wasn't just the way Rooster ran that I loved, it was the way he won. That day at the Champion Hurdle he was far, far, far too good and he knew it.
Pricked his ears, skipped over the last and simply walked up the hill. Wonderful. Great horse.
the best and most under rated - never see a champion hurdle won in that stlye again

Nice tribute to the grey with the great name who blew the 2003 Champion Hurdle field to pieces. He might not have been at the very top for that long, although he was around for a while, but when he was good, he was very, very good!
