listening to jeff has taught me so much.. he is a huge inspiration.

O damn! It's such a shame Jeff isn't on this planet anymore!!! Timing and groove all over!!!

Pocaro is one who enhanced what GADD laid down on time and groove less is more.
Billy Ward reminds me of this playing approach as well
-
could you send me the mp3 file of this song ? emerson.bertolli@yahoo.com

@funk76 : It came as a free black plastic paper 45 single in Modern Drummer magazine back in the early 80's! WITHOUT A DOUBT....I use to play the shit out of my copy!!!!!

The coolest 3 minutes 38 seconds of my life.

This song was included on a Paiste demonstration record (LP) given away for free on their demonstrations, at least I got it like that in Spain... it included a few songs with players such as Jeff, Jack DeJohnette and others... I must look for it, sure it is among my old records at the basement floor...

I agree with "goodchart" below. I remember this song from a free insert in the Modern Drummer magazine as a kid. Those were the days...

@funk76 This was an insert from a Modern Drummer magazine Paiste add from the 80s, actually have it and listened to it many times. Jeff was GREAT.

his snare sound is to die for! i freakin love JP!
This is "Slippin away" which was released on the James Newton Howard and friends-CD. One of the most groovin beats of Jeff - unbeatable cool tune. Do you have any clue where your version is coming from? Thank you for keeping Jeff´s legacy alive!

Sorry, I don't have any idea where is this coming from, I downloaded this song long time ago from the Napster, and I found it in a data CD I burned long time ago.
