I'd love to see someone root as well as you say and even more so be the one to push them. It sounds to be a very interesting technique to learn. I'd have to be directly involved for my brain to accept it since I'm naturally skeptical.
@TrickSeventy8 I met men who could root like a tree, even in an up-right stance (only slightly bent knees), while I was pushing them. They could stand leisurely, feet shoulder width apart, yet I couldn't move them an inch. But you're right these demos are sorta circus tricks. I once taught a teenage girl to do it against a big guy, by pushing up under his elbows. Generally demos where several persons push directly at the guy, instead of in a line, or if he's on one leg etc, are more convincing!
@67Sman Is having a strong center of gravity another way of saying being sure footed, wide stanced, balanced and able to react to outside forces in a finely controlled defensive or offensive manner?
@TrickSeventy8 you are correct, but the point is that with a strong center of gravity you can hold off a great amount of force without being knocked down or pushed out of the way.
but ya, scientifically your correct with the facts you stated
Sixth comment.... I felt left out ;-) Anyways, the science of this really isn't 7 against 1 right? The force isn't 7x. But maybe would be if everyone pushed against say a metal rod or piece of lumber standing next to each other and the master on the other side still? This way is illusionistic....First real comment! haha, I win.
