Dirty Signs - Get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich.

Have you ever wanted to learn useful phrases in sign language? Well I'm learning myself, and I thought I would share what I'm learning as I go. Feel free to let me know of any other phrases you think I should learn!

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT an interpreter! I understand that the art of ASL is very complex, and what I do is much closer to "Signed English" as opposed to actual ASL. The phrases I sign in these videos are things I mashed together from individual words I learned on the internet and from friends, and are probably not very close to the actual ASL phrases. If you would like to start learning ASL, I highly recommend it--it's a beautiful language, and there are many good resources out there. With that said,I am not trying to disrespect anyone in the process of making these videos, I'm simply trying to have fun with my friends. If you see me signing something incorrectly, PLEASE let me know, and I will make a new video. Thanks!

Why 'No Homo'?

@movieeeenightt Hi there! "No homo" is a joke some of my friends use, and I originally made this video for them. The phrase originated in the rap world, where homophobic rappers would sing about something homo-erotic, but follow it with "no homo" to indicate that they weren't being intentionally gay (for instance, "Suck my dick, no homo"). A couple of my friends say it after things that aren't sexual in nature at all, and hilarity ensues (also, we like mocking homophobes). Thanks for watching!

Where did you learn sign language?

@pinkcatapult Hi there! I've learned most of my signs from the internet, some books, and random friends here and there, however I started my interest in ASL in college. I went to a school with a significant Deaf/HoH population (NTID, to be exact), so it was pretty easy to pick up around there. :)
