The station is dull now. But back in the day they had this totally out of date news open (even then) and a over-the-top music sounder (something like Theme from Swat) They also had these contrived happy talk promos.

The Comcast Networ has a program called Money Maters Today, and uses that "Late Breaking News" cut for its theme.

Wow, exactly like their sister station KABC-TV's graphics. And KABC's graphics were done in house, so they must've created it for them. :)

They did. In fact, their news music is like WPVI's MCTYW and WLS' NS2K+ which is 615 Music's News One theme which was used on KGO from 1994-1998 and on KFSN-TV since 1994. KFSN-TV is on channel 3 on many Comcast cable systems in the Fresno/Visalia/Merced areas.

i'm the guy that produced the opens...video design group in LA did the HD backplate graphics, i shot with KGO's HD chopper for the city scenes here in fresno and you're right, it's the 615 music package from waaaay back! i compostited everything in after effects 8 and ed o'brien is our voice guy.

Your'e right, their graphics are KABC like. I'm sorry about that, but like WLS and WPVI, they do not use EWN NG like all of the other ABC O&O's but instead use KGO's/WKRN's NewsOne theme by 615 since 1994, at least it still has it's redeeming qualities.
