  • No offense to Euphonix but what are you hiding under that shroud??? Might that be a C|24? or a SSL? Yeah, thats what we REALLY wanna see! lol

  • @hitzville81 We aren't hiding anything, just bringing the Artist Series into focus. Both the Artist Series and the D-Command (under the blanket) are made by Avid. Frankly both have a lot of similarities in terms of function.

  • Beautifull sounding music - just ... much ... to short, to compare it with anything. Why are you trying to hide, how good this has been recorded and played - while all that talking isn´t the main part... ? Would like to listen to more avid hd conversion stuff!

  • @Zitronengarten Trust us, there is absoultely nothing to hide! In fact, these are some of the most revealing multi-channel converters out there. Just trying to keep our videos in a more digestible length, and there is so much to say... thanks for your comment, we are constantly fighting that balance of audio/performance vs. discussion!

  • Daw and PT systems year after year may come and go , the Unique sound of it is the voice of Rachelle , mic and preamp combination etc etc However this Avid sounds really great and accurate , really a gret step forward comared to former 192 boxes .... great stuff , I have to admit that I am a big fan of another brand whent it comes to converting projects ( do not want name it , it 's not the place here ) but this AVID added with PT and Euphonic board is a very usefull trilogy for audio sessions

  • @remyleloup1 Thanks for saying so... we were probably as pleased/surprised as you were as the way that these tracks came off. Really brilliant clarity, detail, and accuracy seem to be the new theme of these Avid converters. They are a part of the new crop of world-class converters that make our world as recording engineers more dependent on the choices we make with mics, musicians, preamps, and rooms, rather than fighting the limitations of our gear.

  • @FreaqyFrequency Thanks for the comment- quite honestly, no one anticipated the new Avid converters to be of this caliber. This is a real game changer for Avid.

  • Just saw Rachelle open up for Frankie Beverly and Maze in Baltimore about two weeks ago. She is fantastic! I hate to state she's not confined to the category R/B.

  • It sounds like Paul Jackson JR on guitars isn't it ??? great guitar parts very subtle !!!

  • Can't say that I would ever find myself investing into an HD Native rig (or an Avid one for that matter), but that recording did sound pretty nice indeed. Thanks for sharing.
