Time magazine heralds Deepak Chopra as one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century and credits him as "the poet-prophet of alternative medicine." Chopra is known as the prolific author of more than 56 books translated into 35 languages, including numerous New York Times best-sellers. Many also know him from his regular work with PBS, including The Happiness Prescription and Body, Mind, and Soul: The Mystery and The Magic.

Chopra is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, adjunct professor at Kellogg School of Management, and senior scientist with The Gallup Organization. He is founder of The Chopra Center, which aims to bridge the technological miracles of the West with the wisdom of the East, changing the way we view mind-body medicine and physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social wellness.

  • A classless, moneyless, stateless communities of humanity in cooperation to take care of our needs and well being , expressing our creative energies in freedom of being. Capitalism is the manipulation of resources and technology for the private gain of a few in a monetary system that enslaves immense humanity in wage slavery of useless employment system that dehumanises and denies our human creative potential for a world of harmony within and without.

  • Interesting thoughts and good prize idea!

  • @arzoyan Says a guy using Youtube....

  • @cypeapplejuice No Roger is quite firm about nature containing and expressing fundamental platonic states through successive manifolds as are quite a few distinguished theoreticians. Deepak is niave in his assimilations because he is not studied in this area, but he may be forgiven for attempting to compare some of the language arising from experimental observations with that used to describe conscious experience, because they may well turn out to be fantastically related!

  • @arzoyan Sounds like another great reason Not to have kids.

  • i elect Mooji for the prize :)

  • Deepak in many of the classes I've been in they have been great but you Deepak you opened my world, I can't believe anything anyone says because I know there is a reason of gain behind their words with you it's been way different you have given me a reason to not give up on my hope. I have never wanted to be like anyone but you Deepak I want to be just like you.

  • HMM =]

  • The Penrose reference for all the world seems to be a misquote. All Penrose suggests is that our brains shouldn't be conscious from the point of view of classical physics / electromagnetic theory, there isn't even a start of consensus on a theory of consciousness though, so Deepak is talking out his arse. One day science will provide an equally banal and beautiful explanation for consciousness, and there'll be one less nook for superstition to hide in. The sleep of reason produces monsters!
