For sensitive invertebrates such as anemones you want to be really careful by avoiding step changes in the water parameters such as what happen when you pour water into the bag, instead what you want to do is to dilute the content on a drop-by-drop basis. Checkout Doradon acclimation system for an effective solution.

hey Z, a protein skimmer is benicial and it will help you understand how it works in conjunction with the aquarium.

@lafishguy ok thanks a lot.. i will just start with clownfish and liverock.. i will put on the skimmer also or else it is wastefull i bought it.. haha

hey Z, lets assume this is your first saltwater aquarium? i would say no. one strep at a time. learn about keeping fish first, they are hardier than corals and dont require the strong light and equipment.

@lafishguy can i put some coral in my small tank???
i remember when roses where only $30. i had one, it died pretty quick even with proper acclamation and water condition. i think he was just pissy that i had a green bubble with him.

hey M, $30 Rose Anemones, that must have been a long time ago? actually the rose and bubble are from the same familiy so that should not have been the problem, although anemones in general are quite tricky.

jim, i am a little bit confused about the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate thing... are they came from the salt that we mix earlier?? if i took the water straight from the sea.. are these ammonia thing still exist.. or i just can put livestock straightly to my tank??

hey Z, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are the result of the biological conversion of waste, food mostly. the bacterias convert it from one form to another. these bacterias have to be grown and that takes 30 to 45 days. adding SW may introduce the bacterial seed but does not provide an instant biological filter.
