  • When the engine start to die he manually operate the dieselpump to feed the engine. The pump has to be set at a minimum at startup to prevent the engine from start picking up speed that will pump even more fuel that will accelerate the engine more and more. This is dangerus

    When he "tunes it" he adds more and more fuel to the engine for each stroke by giving the dieselpump more swing untill he no longer has to feed it manually once in while...

    Then the engine runs smooth at low Rpm's.

  • @fuelban Sure it wasn't "Havbris" (ocean mist). Very beautiful engines indeed. The have gained a somewhat legendaty status here in Norway.

  • this is the same engine I had in my Boat Hav - Briss, Norwegian trawler, I owned her in 1977 at 21 yrs old..she was fine, what a nice engine..
