@joaquinveyron Keep that money, you can spend it much more effectively on your own prosperity and freedom! Be happy! :-)

@kludg2010 This is hot, where did you get this from?

@TeaTweety Ok, you LEFTIST DIMWITS, if you think that ALL the COMMUNIST SHITHOLES are not supposed to have anything to do with the "great" ideas of Marx (yeah, right :-) ), then you surely will be able to lay out how communist goals can be achieved WITHOUT
1) POVERTY, FAMINES, IN-EFFICIENCIES, but with PROSPERITY
2) TERROR, DICTATORSHIPS, UN-FREEDOM, but in FREEDOM.
I pay you € 1.000.000, if you are able to.

"Capitalism always was socialism for those who are on top"

This "fetishist disavowal" is much more applicable to socialist planners who play with toy models and interest rates. Capitalism does not involve someone in authority saying what sector will "get going". Zizek believes in the free markets but hasn't realized it. What I think he is referring to is the increasing lack of sensitivity to paradox and contradiction.

"...the structure of fetishist disavowal: "I know very well that things are the way I see them /that this person is a corrupt weakling, but I nonetheless treat him respectfully, since he wears the insignia of a judge, so that when he speaks, it is the Law itself which speaks through him". So, in a way, I effectively believe his words, not my eyes, i.e. I believe in Another Space (the domain of pure symbolic authority) which matters more than the reality of its spokesmen."
