Caterpillar of the moth Thyrinteina leucocerae host of the parasitoid wasp Glyptapanteles which can change the behavior of the catterpilar to protect the pupae. This non-parasitized caterpillar hardly responds to a predator.

  • not necessarily infection does not necessarily involve a disease when you are getting a vaccine for a disease youa re still technically getting infected by a weaker version of the source organism to help familiarize your immune system to a more dangerous full scale infection
