  • The thing that worries me is the police car travelling at 124 MPH on the hard shoulder if a vehicle breaks down the driver will try and coast onto the hard shoulder and being preoccupied with the vehicle breaking down may forget to check their rear view mirror which would result in an accident causing serious injury and maybe death at those speeds.

  • @mickb2170 - Totally agree, there was no margin for safety.

  • @wembley05 Thank you for your comments, but just to set the record straight, if this incident would have ended up with a fatality, it would have me as the Pursuit commander who would have gone to court. Remember I had 30 years of dealing with this type of incident including picking up dead bodies, not always in one piece.... Burnt ones were the worst...Nice job.....I'll shut up now !

  • @LANDYMAN090 - I am afriad they could not get 5 patrol cars these days......

  • Advancedbiker - thanks for posting this vid. In terms of DRA, I wonder how the officer driving could have justified driving on the hard shoulder at that speed, and particularly driving on the hard shoulder when there was clearly a clear stretch in lane 2 or 3 at some points. I've watched this vid over and over again, trying to think of it from a tactical point of view and all I can see is red mist influenced driving. At one point he was lead car, so the traffic car with blue and twos behind cou

  • Does this is advert for Honda Civic ?

  • that honda is fast!

  • Love the double standard when it comes to what is considered dangerous driving by the public compared to the police. I've watched enough of these videos that, if a member of the public drove at the same speeds and standards as the police officer, but without the colour and authority of the law behind him - he'd be in prison - what hypocrisy!

  • @V6POWA I remember the days when the M6 motorway in Staffordshire had it's own dedicated traffic group and turned out at least 6 cars per shift...... It had Police posts at Keele and Hilton Park, the days of the Jags.....

  • @advancedbiker

they couldnt get 5 cars in those days? This video cant be more than 3-5 years old TOPS...

  • I was wrong in what I said, sometimes risks have to be taken on "situational basis" to catch those that pose a threat and I apologise for my previous post.
