I took this video at work one day. I'm still learning how to operate the backhoe. I didn't have a grease gun which is why the bucket squeaks so much when I curl it in. The throttle is also broken. It won't stay all the way pushed down. Slowly creeps up. Enjoy!

  • look good not real smooth yet but woth 6000+ hours ur gona have some slop one thing i was taught to leave the ext hoe out all the time dont waste time running it in and out

  • Thanks for the tip. I don't bring the ext hoe in anymore like that. I leave it out till the very end.

  • Not bad, not bad at all! You start to curl the bucket a little bit early but that will come with more experience on the machine.

One thing I will say, if it's squeaking it's already doing damage to the bushings which in turn will make everything have more slop in it, so you really have to stay on top of the greasing thing.

Otherwise everything looks good, just need some more time in the seat from here!

  • Thank you for the comment. I'm trying to find a grease gun cheap for my personal truck on days like this.

  • Good job, i can't tell that u are still "learning" but u know that nothing is better than seat time . I wish my old Case 580SE had 2 stick controls i have 4 sticks and 2 foot peddels : ( and thumbs up *****

  • I agree with the other guys. Way u set up could be better. Keep the machine level to when u can help it. Hard digging if u dump the bucket or open up the 4n'1 it will hold u in place better. Putting pressure down on the front keeps u stable to less rocking. I woulda spun around and pushed the material in closer to the hole to. Consolidate it.

Your doing good. keep it up, practice makes perfect.

  • Im 23 now. I work for a small company that does a little of everything but mostly concrete work. I cant really compare the two machines since theyre not really in the same class or condition. Case has well over 6000 hrs(meter stopped working) and engine has never been opened up. Deere is turbo'd 4wd and a very stong machine. The case roads better and i think the loader is faster. both have their place and i dont mind using either one

  • Which do you like better deere or case? How old are you now? Do you have an excavating business?

  • Yes i do. we have a deere 410d ,case 580e and some other equipment. The first hoe i ran was a 580l when i was 14. i have a small case loader 646 the size of a garrden tractor that i plan on making a backhoe for so that should be fun.

  • I love Case Backhoes. I get to try out a new M pretty soon. I went to the Case Dealership and played on them for a couple hours but thats it. I want to do a job with one. Do you run Backhoes at all? Thanks for the comment!
