  • If you wanted to clean a dirty shirt, would you take a rag and rub it all over the shirt and say, "There..it's clean!" or would you put it in your washer which would wash it with soap and water, then rinse it with softened water and dry. Bonnet cleaning takes dirt and just spreads it all over the carpet. Shaw Industries, the largest carpet manufacturer in the U.S. clearly states that the ONLY recommended cleaning system that will not void their warranties is Hot Water Extraction.

  • You have described a very useful method for cleaning carpet. However I have know idea why your using that bonnet with the turf size loops. You need to use the bonnets with the 1.5 inch cotton absorbent loops. That bonnet has a much larger surface area that can absorb more solution and more dirt and oils. This is the professional way to do the floors. I've been involved in this for 25 years.

  • While I'm surprised that this is one of the most viewed videos on carpet cleaning, It is good to see a company try to explain restorative techniques, or at least one type of technique. The fact remains: hot water extraction is not the be all, end all, but a good place to start. If the carpet is thrashed, then the trick is to make it as clean as possible and to dry it as quickly as possible to avoid the inevitable "soil wicking" that might mar the final appearance.

  • @BenRuble Hey Barney Rubble or BenRuble I've read your posts and other then calling everyone idiots you don't bring to much to the table. Go back to selling your kerby vacuums in your mom's basement. As far as which carpet cleaning method to use, they all have there benefits it just depends on the cleaner and what solution is used.

  • For carpet you need to change your bonnet, and for best results do not use the same size bonnet as your buffer, if that is a 19 inch you need a 21 inch pad.

  • Paulburr you obviously worked for a crappy company. That did not teach you very well. And probably had poor quality equipment. EcoPro Carpet Care has complete dry times of just under 2 hrs

  • Correct

  • Thanks for the video!

  • Why isn't there a hefty bumper on that cleaning machine??? This video shows a room with rustic furniture, but if they banged that thing against my expensive antique furniture the way they banged it against the bureau in this video, heads would roll.... And it's rather pointless to show a cleaning machine at work on a perfectly clean carpet; honestly, what's the point?... I think I'd pass on this cleaning service....
