Bruce Campbell in this movie, for me, a little bit similar to George Clooney in the From Dusk Till Dawn. A suspect, who becomes a hero by the end.

If not for Bruce Campbell, I wouldn't even watch this movie. It sells itself as a horror film, but it's very predictable and doesn't make much sense from a sci-fi perspective either.

The Thing is more suspenseful because all of the characters have an equal standing in terms of who could be an alien. In this one, you can tell from the onset just because of the tropes they fill.
