  • The camera is on a home-made boom so I can't see exactly what I'm pointing at... it's several feet over my head. Also I'm trying to cover the entire event in a 10 minute running time (maximum allowed by YouTube) so things get "bumpy" and there's no time to stop and look too closely at things.

    Butch.

  • I walked by you today! i wonder if i'm in this video

  • You may be. I did 3 versions, one each of which may be found on this channel, and on the butchnews and davidsilvercloud channels. I can't edit these "point and shoot" videos because they are MP4 and quicktime crashes my Sony computer. But I'm saving up for a good quality HD camcorder and future video will be, I hope, a lot more professional looking.

  • I found a free editing program on the net, today, that edits MP4 and converts them to wmv files. It does a pretty good job of it. It's called VideoPad.

  • P.S. I'm testing out a video editor from AVS that seems promising as an easy to use MP4 editor. I can't put any editor that uses quicktime in my Sony computer... it crashes the computer and Adobe Premier is not allowed in my Sony computer (it voids the warranty).

  • You should check out my video on High Definition at my davidsilvercloud channel.

There is a BIG difference between point and shoot HD and camcorder HD. Point and shoot (such as the Powershot and the Samsung WB500 that I use) is extremely difficult to impossible to edit... it's MP4 720 line HD.

The number of pixels in the camera makes a BIG difference too. I have 10.2 megapixels in my Samsung WB 500 point and shoot but it's not very user friendly and tricky to use as a video camera.

  • I actually am trying to be a Much Music VJ and I recently went into futureshop to talk about options for making videos and many cameras which have video options are a lot better then a camcorder! defiantly do a bit of question asking. I purchased a newer Canon Powershot and it recordes videos in HD
