  • Is the rudder operated by paddles better than the keyboard??

  • 1:34 I'd like to mention that in a crosswind landing this particular maneuver is acceptable and most often required. It's not bad, unless it's executed poorly. The idea is to approach at that angle and then right yourself to runway heading just prior to touchdown. Despite that I find your videos entertaining Cessna. Keep it up.

  • @MrBryan86 the num lock key can be lit. use 0 and enter to use rudder

  • How do I operate the rudder???

  • nice graphics

  • Regarding short final in a jet approaching a storm you state "You can also experience a gain in airspeed but it's not likely with a gust". Not likely with a gust? So not true! Approaching a storm you are likely to experience storm outflow which will initially increase indicated airspeed if you are landing toward the storm. The stall is a consideration if the outflow gusts were to cease. I do appreciate this topic being discussed. I earn my living teaching this.

  • can anyone tell me how,to get a thunerstorm in fsx?

    thx

    great vid 5*

  • Crosswinds are an everyday occurrence... to say that it's extreme when the aircraft is crabbing on approach is ridiculous. I'm surprised you didn't mention flaps during your long caveat about stalling on approach. Flaps are the FIRST thing we think about when landing in high winds. They increase drag and lift, the latter we can live without, the former WILL cause problems in the event of a go-around of high gusts.

What is your experience in real life flying?

  • i did experimenting with that. LOWEST VISIBILITY,25 KNOTS GUST 40 CROSS WIND AT NIGHT.... try to beat that. at that time i do a flight from changi(singapore) to soekarno hatta(indonesia). iam indonesian... he...he...

ILS landing i landed at the right side of the runway i cant see a thing EVEN THE RUNWAY.. so i was lucky to use the ILS.

    at least i dont crash
