One of the more obscure labels in my collection. This an Australian label which uses what sounds like Plaza masters. It's called Angelus and looks exactly like the Gennett Electrobeam label except for the changing of names. As said, this sounds like a Plaza master, so I suspect this is really Scrappy Lambert singing this beautiful 1929 song. Hope you enjoy it!

  • @MissVitaphone Glad you liked this wonderful recording! The flip side is a duet called "Wedding Bells" but it's not by Scrappy.

  • This recording is great. It sounds just like Scrappy Lambert, who is one of my favorites. Thank you for uploading it. Could you could possibly upload the other side as well? I would really appreciate it.

  • @VictrolaJazz Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, it does. It says "Close lid whilst playing".

  • Well it's just a dream! Your machine lid says "whilst", doesn't it? I love these vocals because they include the verse!
