Casey really is light years ahead of the others in that room. Plus he's too polite not to let the attention whor try take the lead as opposed to singing over him. Alex is kind of an idiot. If he would chill out and quit being such an attention hog, he could work with his talent instead of coming off as erratic and off key.

@removedirtyanddust Because he doesn't have anything to prove. He can sing and play the song better than anyone in that room. Alex kept singing over him, so he was like go and take the lead. After Alex took a breather from the foolishness, Casey took over. But as soon as the camera went back to Alex he continued singing stupidly. You see him cringing as Alex and Andrew wail off key. Don't blame Casey one bit.

I dont get why people are so annoyed at Alex Lambert. to me it looks like a bunch of artist singing a few song and having a laugh. the kid is obviously just being silly and saying hes not talented is absolutely insane especially with his vocals. not taking anything away from Casey but the only things hes probably more superior at his playing that guitar.

Casey indulged Alex, liked playing for him and letting him try. But then, he's like "this is what it is" and just mastered it. The contrast makes it quite clear who nails the notes and timing. I wish there would have been a couple more minutes. Casey could get a lot of music students if he ever wanted to teach. "I am a musician. Music is what I do"

Folks, I think what you have here are two explosive new singers and song writers who are each vying for the limelight. I think the case can be made, that Alex seems more persistent than Casey. However, that is largely due to the differential in their ages, one is exhibiting more maturity about it than the other. Nonetheless, it can be quite vexing.
