The point of the Beat 360 is humor, and, if you think poking a little fun at Governor Palin's "I can see Russia from my house" statement is more "belittling" than those mockeries of any of the hundreds of ridiculous phrases that Democratic leaders have said over the centuries, the problem really isn't the Beat 360.

These captions are hardly "belittling."

The whole point of any caption competition submission is to "make fun of" the subject(s) of the photograph. Otherwise, how would the caption be funny?

If you look at the archives, I am sure that there have been just as many competition photographs featuring Democratic leaders, especially since the beginning of the Obama administration.
