Hi All,

Just finished installing my recently pieced together Thayer's Quest Conversion Kit into my Original Dragon's Lair Arcade Game Cabinet.
This video is of my first play test of the game. It is working Great. Everything is working perfectly. Even the KeyBoard is working, which I had to fix it's I/O Board that had a Bad CMOS Chip with a new one.

Yours Truly,

  • Hi KillerBebe,

The Chip had this typed on it: CD4017BE RCA 410

So, I looked this up on the internet and found out that it was a Counter/Divider CMOS Chip. RCA does not make this Chip anymore. But with this Information I cross referenced it on the internet and got this NTE#: NTE4017B CMOS Chip. I then went to my local Electronic Store and they had the Chip in stock, so I bought it. I unsoldered the old Chip and soldered on an IC Socket in it's place. And Installed the new Chip.

  • Where did you find a compatible chip?
