Star Trek Online was on display at PAX 09. In this demo we can see some starship battles, the gorgeous graphics, and the away team on planets performing missions.

Only thing about this vid i HATED SO FUCKING MUCH... was the male human running up and whacking the klingon....... the klingon could have grabbed the guy and thrown him clean down the hallway and into the wall.. -_-

The Character movements of the Klingon look the same as the Irradiates from CHAMPIONS ONLINE.

That is a big turn off. Looks like the code was just copied over.

at 2:15 the Klingon, knocked down, falls the exact same way as the Irradiates.

-Then, at 2:20 he is dizzy for a split second, and he moves the same as the irradiates from CHAMPIONS ONLINE.

If it turns out this way when the final product is released, it will be very depressing.

I will probably return it.

there will be cruiser using players who can take massive damage and their crew is fitted to do the same so it will reflect in their away team. Science vessels will heal/buff the other ships in the fleet and their away teams will reflect that style of play on the ground aswell. Same goes with the excelcior *sp* dps type vessels and crews.

I think this game will be awesome!

Looks like a fail project to me. Seems like the new design team is making it Star Trek FPS rather than Star Trek online. All teh videos I see are just people or ships runnign around spamming phaser blasts over and over. This won't take away the WoW crowd, and I don't really even see it attracting many Star Trek fans.
