i love i like how you made alot of empty space that way the sims can put what ever they like there its nice i love to colors in the kitchen i would have chose the same the thing too very nice job :)

Hold down shift when you have a wallpaper or floor selected and it will fill the room with that colour.

Too much empty space, too normal - did you say it stopped being a starter? You could have easily fit that into starter size.

No its still a starter. Some Empty space is a good thing because you want room to expand.
